You heard that right– one of the few restaurants in Quartzite was Silly Al’s Pizza, which was a restaurant covered in wooden paneling, a menu that probably hadn’t changed since it opened, and frankly, some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten.
I don’t know why you would ever make your way through Quartzite– but if you do, Silly Al’s pizza is insanely good. The crust was both a little chewy and super-crusty on the bottom, the cheese was not too thick and not too thin, the toppings were still crisp and very fresh– Moon and I got a pie, thinking we’d have leftovers. We didn’t.
